The Messy Project Revealed!

The day in finally here when The Messy Project can finally be revealed! I'm sure most of you have been hearing some buzz over this mystery project for quite some time. It's been difficult keeping my mouth shut about this, but I am so excited to say the wait it over!!! So you might be asking yourself, "What is The Messy Project?" Kelly, the brains (and beauty) behind this amazing project summed The Messy Project up perfectly!

"I can look at a top and style it completely different than someone else would...and to me that's cool. One of the main reasons I love fashion is because you can make it your own. Everyone can have the same exact clothes but the way you style it and wear it is your choice. It gives you a chance to express your inner fashionista. When I started blogging about 6 months ago I wanted to find a fun way to interact with other bloggers doing something different than anybody else. Something to convey who we are. To show our style. To Put our creative minds to work. To express our inner Fashionista. So The Messy Project was born. The Deal: 1 top, 5 girls, 5 different looks, 1 major blog post day."

Pretty great idea, huh? I was so excited to participate in The Messy Project that I was (not so) patiently waiting for a package to arrive from Kelly. And when it did, this is what I found...

 I knew instantly that I wanted to keep the styling of this piece simple. To me, this top is a statement piece. Sheer, flowy and bright! Perfect for summer and perfect for a simple summer outfit. So I paired this top with a pair of white shorts, wedges, and minimal jewelry.

 I'm all about simple and clean when it comes to my style. When I'm wearing a fun and flirty top like The Messy Project top, I like to keep all other aspects of my outfit clean and simple! I am all about statement necklaces these days, but since this top has an adorable tie collar, I opted for no necklace.
