Welp, I was hopeful this day wouldn't come, but, alas, it has. Today is my first day back to work after our two week Winter Break. What a drag. I'm sure as you're reading this, my head is on my desk and I'm hating my life. Or maybe I'm under my desk, sleeping. Options, people, options!
I know the lovely hosts of this fab link-up want us to share our holiday celebrations but my weekend was just too great not to share, and I'll be honest, I'm over the holidays.
Friday:
J and I went on a long awaited date night. We had some dinner before the real fun began. Glo-Golf. If you've never been, you need to go. Sure, it's just putt-putt golf, but it's a million times cooler under black lights. Of course, I won....typical. Who cares that I got to re-do my first putt every other hole? A win is a win, am I right? We continued the competition in the arcade, where I somehow won 250 tickets on a random game. Some kiddo was super happy when we handed over that stack to him -- go ahead, you can just call me a day maker. And of course, a date night is never complete without some delish fro-yo.
I loved spending some quality J&J time doing something we've never done before. When you've been with someone for a while, it's easy to get in a cycle of doing the same thing over and over again. Switching up your date night activity is a great way to bring back that first date excitement.
Saturday:
Early Saturday morning, my cousin finally gave birth to her handsome son, Owen! The little guy was due December 30th, but was obviously too cozy in the womb. He's smart; he knew it was freezing in Michigan. I was able to snuggle the little man when he was just 6 hours old! That's crazy to think about. He's absolutely perfect and so alert! When he wasn't sleeping, he has his eyes open and was constantly looking around the room -- definitely an old soul. I could have held him all day, but after being a baby hog for two hours, I left with a major case of baby fever. I can't get enough of him!
Sunday:
Nothing to see here, just your typical lazy Sunday, which I loved! J and I went to church like good little children, and when he had to go to work, I went home and sat my butt down on the couch. The only exciting thing that happened is that I won an iPad on eBay! Actually, this is beyond exciting because I never win an eBay auction. I probably should have tested my luck on the lottery after that!
After my big win, I went on the hunt for the perfect monogrammed iPad case. I found these fab ones on Etsy:

I love date nights! But I can't stand putt putt. I am the WORST. FOURRRR! :)
ReplyDeleteI love that you know that video. Peter at the parrrrrk. Hilarious.
I got a really cute monogrammed ipad case off of a veryjane deal from an etsy shop for 20.00. I didn't have a good experience with the shop--but I bet if you ordered just regularly through then without the veryjane deal you'd probably have better luck. I did a post with the ipad case in it today if you want to check it out, ill let you know the shop name.
ReplyDeleteAwwww Owen is adorable! I love those iPad cases! I have been so into monogram stuff lately! Have a great week! Xoxo
ReplyDeleteGlow golf? I've never even heard if it! Looks like a blast!
