Coconut Oil. Anyone else hopped on the coconut oil bandwagon? My lovely mother bought some and begged me to try it. So naturally, I did. Amazeballs. There are so many ways to use coconut oil. It's a great moisturizer. Warm some up in your hands and spread it all over your skin when you step out of the shower and you are guaranteed to have baby soft skin all day long. And while you're at it, spread a tiny amount over your face. My face has been out.of.control lately. The stress of leaving my old job and starting a new one has left my face red, splotchy, and a little broken out. After one application of coconut oil, I noticed the redness lessen and those tiny zits were gone. You can also use a small amount of coconut oil in your hair after you style it to keep the frizz away. Seriously ladies, google this shiz and you will find a million and one ways to use this bad boy!

Smartfood White Cheddar Popcorn. This stuff is like crack. I'm eating some the entire bag as I'm writing this. And a plus, it isn't terrible for you! Although, I eat way more than the serving size so health is completely out the window...

Pinteresting for Justin's closet makeover. Listen, I think my man looks amazing in sweats and a hoodie,  but the boy needs some options. Over the past two and a half years I've slowly been introducing him to the world of fashion, but I think it's time for some culture shock. J needs to be thrown into the fashion world  full force. So, in preparation for that day, I've been getting some ideas via Pinterest. He'll be looking fine in no time!

{favorite beauty secret}

Biore Deep Cleansing Pore Strips. And when I say it's a secret, it's because no one sees me with a pore strip on except for my cat. Well, and Justin, but that's just me preparing him for life once we're married. If you wear makeup almost every day like myself, the harsh truth is that our pores get clogged with all that makeup! So do your skin a favor. Wash your face every night before bed and throw on a pore strip every once in a while!

I stumbled across this quote while wasting time (what's new) on Pinterest. It was a great reminder for me during this transition I've been going through. I think it's something that can speak to us all during the trials and tribulations of life.

I found this picture on Pinterest the other day and immediately fell in love with the color of this lip gloss. Of course, I couldn't find the original source of the picture, so I went into Ulta with fingers crossed that I could easily pick this color our among all of the other Smashbox lip glosses. And, luckily I did! This lovely shade of nude pink is called Pout. At first, I was terrified. I tried it on my hand and OH.EM.GEEE. it was the brighest Barbie pink ever, and I just don't do Barbie. But, I found myself a little lip gloss tester to try on my lips, and I was in love. It's the perfect nude pink color. Go get yo'self one!

This boy just keeps making me fall more in love with him. Don't you hate when that happens?!? JOKES! With everything going on lately, he's really been the only person who I've wanted to see for the fact that he makes me completely forget about all my troubles and makes me laugh. I'm very blessed to have him in my life. I mean, come on ladies, the man took me to Dairy Queen last night! If that's not perfection, then I don't know what is!

Thank you Bravo for showing re-runs the past couple of days! I love Tabitha's Salon Takeover! This chick is hilarious and so blunt. I love watching her rip apart these businesses and the people who work there. I'm not sure what it is about Tabitha, but I could watch her show all day long. Oh wait, I practically have...

Friday Favorites

I feel like I've been saying this a lot lately...but what a crazy week! This summer has been throwing all kinds of curveballs at me as far as work goes. Some pretty awful things have been happening to my toddlers and their families and it just seems to be never ending! I knew what I was getting myself into when I decided to be a Social Worker, but this kind of stuff wears you down!

And on top of all that (on a selfish level) this 95+ degree weather and no A/C at work is making me a cranky girl! There's nothing I hate more than sweating. And when I'm sweating and I have seven sweating toddlers crawling all over me, I could lose it!

Needless to say, this week I have come home from work completely exhausted. Like, I don't want to cook dinner let alone try and work out, exhausted. But the good news is it's FRIDAY! Which means it's almost the weekend. And it also means it's time to link up with The Bargain Blonde for Friday Favorites!

Blogger and jewelry maker, Morgan, Instagrammed a picture a few days ago of this gorgeous whistle necklace from her Etsy shop Adies Lovelies. I was instantly obsessed with it! So simple yet so cute! And the best part? It actually works! I told myself I wasn't going to buy it just yet, but alas, my shopaholic side got the best of me, and as of last night, I'm the {soon-to-be} new owner of the gold whistle necklace! I can't wait to wear this and blow the whistle when Justin isn't listening to me or when the kiddos at work are running wild {which will be often since they're a bunch of crazy little people these days!} Go check out Morgan's Etsy page and all of her beautiful (and, may I add, very reasonably priced) jewelry!

Glam Grab Accessory Auction has taken over my life. What is it, you ask? Glam Grab is a Facebook page that holds designer jewelry auctions every Monday at 7:30pm CST and Wednesday at 11am CST. You simply like the Facebook page, and then once the auction begins, comment with the word 'grab' under the picture of the jewelry you would like to purchase. After the auction is over, you pay your PayPal invoice and the piece (or pieces, if you're like me) are all yours! I just received this gorgeous necklace in the mail last week and am waiting on this, this, and this. Did I mention I'm obsessed??

Okay, the steal of a life time right here. This Kate Spade cosmetic pouch was originally retailed at $60. I found it hidden in a wicker laundry basket at TJ Maxx. Sorry if someone was hiding this so they could purchase it later! TJ Maxx had originally marked the priced down to $25.99, but.....BUT....... there was a little red sticker on the tag (which I knew meant great things) that said this beautiful KATE SPADE cosmetic pouch was only $9.99! You bet I snatched it up ASAP! Oh, my little bargainista heart was so so happy. I also found some cute Oscar de la Renta sunglasses for $10. TJ Maxx was crawling with designer items for super cheap yesterday! I was in heaven!

For some reason, our consumers spill their life story to me anytime they see me. I don't entirely mind it as I take it as a compliment that they feel comfortable enough to confide in me, but there are some things I don't want to know! This week while picking up the kids on the bus, a mother just blurted out all of her personal struggles and the words "I wish people would walk a mile in my shoes" came out of her mouth. While I was trying to be sympathetic, I couldn't help but think about this ecard. SOOOOO TRUE!

You know that moment when you feel drunk, but you actually aren't? That was me in this picture. This is what happens when it's 105 degrees outside and I spend 8 hours without A/C....drunken exhaustion. Giggles, gangster dance moves, the works. And look at Justin's face. He's clearly thinking, "Why am I still hanging out with this freak-o-nature?" He's such a good sport when I get in my moods.

I bought these white ones, metallic silver, and grey. One sheet of decals comes with 44 chevron strips and costs $5. However, if you buy three sheets, you get $2 off! Friday Favorites

Dare I say...it's already Friday?!?! It's been a crazy week, but now that it's Friday, I've realized just how quickly it went by. I'm definitely not complaining about that! I've been such a bad blogging friend this week! I've been terrible at responding to everyone, I'm sorry! I promise next week will be better!

Yasso Frozen Greek Yogurt! My love for greek yogurt (which I eat on the daily) is now frozen! I can eat these all day. The blueberry is my personal favorite, but I'm not hating on the strawberry either. I can eat these bad boys and not feel like I need to go run twenty-thousand miles. It feels nice to 'indulge' without being unhealthy.

{favorite new show}

Beverly Hills Nannies. I know I posted briefly about this yesterday, but I cannot get enough. I take care of 8 toddlers Monday through Friday and I love it. I would love it even more if I was paid 40+ hours a week! Sure, you would have to deal with bratty children and biotch mothers, but I already do that. This show is going to be a new obsession fo sho.

{favorite drink}

Pumpkin Spice Latte from Starbucks. I absolutely love summer, but lately I've been craving skinny jeans, boots, sweaters, scarves, and a delicious PSL. Once fall rolls around, I drop way too much dough at Starbucks on my beloved drink. I don't want to bring on the cold weather too quickly, but I am pretty gosh darn excited for this bad boy.

Pomsky! I know, again, another thing I've already shared this week, but my pomsky obsession is growing quickly. When I saw this little nugget on Pinterest, it was love at first sight. But when I showed Justin the picture and he agreed it was adorable, I knew it was meant to be! A pomsky is a mix between a Pomeranian and a Siberian Husky, and doesn't get much bigger than a Pom. I, admittedly am a small dog lover, but I was afraid I would never be able to convince Justin to turn Team Small Dogs. But since we both agree on these adorable Pomskies, it's a deal. Now I just need to find a breeder! In my best baby voice, I just want to yell "pomsky womsky nugget!" I know I'm weird. I'm accepting name suggestions for my future fur child.

My Erin Condren Life Planner!!! It's supposed to arrive today and I could not be more excited. I am a sucker for anything organizing, and the LP is a planner on steroids. I'm so excited to get beyond organized so I can stop forgetting important things!

Tubing down the Huron River with a couple of my favorite girls. Nothing sounds more relaxing right now. Grab ourselves a cooler, a couple tubes, and we'll be set for a couple of hours!
