What I'm Loving Wednesday

I've been eying this link-up since I began blogging and for some reason, just never did it! Since I didn't Pinterest at all this week (a sin...I know) I thought I would skip Oh How Pinteresting Wednesday and finally link up with Jamie! Join the link-up and share with us what you're loving!

I'm loving this gorgeous maxi dress that I bought yesterday!

If you've been following my blog for a while, you know that I love maxi dresses but didn't own a single one because I'm so picky. Well ladies, here ya go! I finally found it! It's a gorgeous country floral print with a lace tie. AND...it's the perfect length! Perfect for tall(ish) girls like me! I found this at Forever 21 for only $23!

 I'm loving that I got to spend some quality time with my girls!

I had dinner with some girlfriends in Downtown Brighton yesterday to celebrate a birthday. We naturally took a picture of our Mojitos and Oberon but failed to actually take a picture of ourselves (in true alcoholic fashion). I have the best group of friends from high school and it always makes my heart happy to catch up with them!

I'm loving Sperry Top-Sider's!

After months and months of telling myself no, I've finally decided to splurge and buy myself some Sperry's. I know, I know...I'm late on the whole 'fad'. Growing up, my grandparents always wore boat shoes...always! Since my grandpa passed away seven years ago, any time I see a pair of Sperry's (or any other type of boat shoes) I automatically think of him. They remind me of all the amazing memories I was able to make with the best grandpa to ever walk the planet.

I'm loving Maybelline's Baby Lips in Cherry Me

 This is my version of a red lip since I'm not brave enough to go all out! A friend of mine gave me this and I am in love! It's a gorgeous red color, but really subtle, so those of you who are like me won't freak out over an intense red lip.

 I'm loving this guy!

There's a little sneak peek at his adorable dimples! J is the best guy a girl could ask for. I'm beyond lucky to be able to call him mine. I won't get too sappy so I don't make you ladies sick, but there are times I'm overwhelmed with how much I love and care about Justin, and this is just one of those time!

June's Birchbox

You can guess how excited I was when my June Birchbox arrived at my house. I've been obsessively tracking the box since Birchbox sent me an e-mail letting my know it shipped.

This month's theme revolves around Jet Setting! June is the month to begin summer travels, so what better way to kick off vacation season than with a box full of products to help make your vacation that much better!

1. tili Bags // This adorable plastic bag is designed to hold you travel liquids and samples, especially useful for the airport. I appreciate that Birchbox sent me this, but it just makes me angry that I won't be jetting off to an undisclosed tropical location any time in the near future. I guess I'll just have to hold on to this until I find someone who wants to fund a cruise for me! (I'm taking applications just in case you were interested...but really...)

2. John Varvatos Star U.S.A for Men // Okay Birchbox, that's nice of you to throw in a sample for Justin or my dad, but I'm sometimes selfish and this box is supposed to be 100% for me, so you could have excluded this. Danka! But really, I smelt this cologne and it reminded me too much of my dad, so Justin won't be getting this...awkward! It's a blend of ginger, juniper, berries, and vetiver, and in my opinion, the perfect cologne to get your dad for Father's Day!

3. Comodynes Self-Tanning Intensive // I love that I got these European self-tanning towelettes! I've tried quite a few self-tanners, but never in towelette form. I'm pretty dark right now (thank you skin for tanning so freaking easily) so I'll be keeping these bad boys to use once my tan goes away.

4. theBalm cosmetics Stainiac in Beauty Queen // By far, the best thing I got in my Birchbox this month! Inside this little tube is the best lip and cheek stain I have tried yet. The color reminds me a lot of Benefit's Bene Tint, only so much better. Unlike Bene Tint, which is a liquid, Stainiac is a gel, making application oh so easy. You know how some liquid stains leave an awkward line 10x darker on your lower lip? Not Stainiac! The gel formula helps to make even application so easy! Its also very long-lasting! I used Stainiac on both my lips and cheeks today, and the color lasted honestly all day! At $17 for a full size tube, it sure beats Bene Tint's $29.00 bottle!

5. Number 4 Super Comb Prep & Protect // This leave- in condition smells amazing! I have to admit though, I'm pretty obsessed with Dove Nourishing Oil Hair Therapy Detangler right now (review coming soon!) so I didn't really welcome this product with open arms. This product is designed to detangle, defrizz, and protect hair from UV-rays. Now, I can't exactly determine if my hair is more protected or not and my hair is always beyond frizzy (enter Dove Nourishing Oil Hair Therapy Detangler, but that's for another time) I can't really write much about those. It did do a good job at detangling, though!

6. beautyblender blendingcleanser // Let me admit, when I first glanced at the product description card, I thought I received thee beautyblender, and was a little bit disappointed to read that I really just received the sponge and brush cleanser. But, it really is a great product. I used it this morning to rid my make-up brushes of excess make-up and oil. Would I spend $17.95 for a full-size bottle? Heck no! But I'll enjoy the sample while it lasts.

This month's Birchbox wasn't my favorite, but there were a couple of products that I'm really glad I have the chance to try out. What did you get in you June Birchbox?

I promised you all a giveaway once I reached 100 followers, and here you have it! I didn't expect to reach 100 followers so quickly, so I was scrambling for ideas. I wanted to do something big since I love all of my followers so much, but then, I figured since it's my first ever giveaway, I gotta start small. 1. I had a rough Monday at work, considering the scary emergency (you can read about that here if you haven't already). So what makes everything better? Ulta! // 2. My baby girl showed up to school with this adorable baby romper on. So fashionable! // 3. What started off as a silly picture of Justin turned into a fricken photo shoot. Boys will be boys... // 4. In. Love. With. Scentsy! I'm warming the scent Echo right now and it smells ah-mazing. // 5. Rocking the J. Crew (knock off) quite a bit this week. // 6. He doesn't look half bad in my girl shades.

New Blog Design!

Happy Saturday, lovely ladies! Before I park myself poolside for the entire day, I just want to give a HUGE thank you to Kelsey over at Kreated by Kelsey for my amazing new blog design! Did she not do an amazing job?!? I am still so blown away. It's like she knew exactly what I was thinking!

Kelsey was unbelievably easy to work with, and super fast! I placed my order Wednesday night and she installed this beautiful creation this morning! Kelsey and I have the same style, clean and simple, so we worked together really well.

Friday's Letters

Dear Calf Muscles, get over yourselves! I would appreciate it if you guys would loosen up a bit because I'm getting tired of you hurting. Not amount of stretching will appease you two, and quite frankly, I don't need two more divas in my life. Dear Weekend Forecast, please don't disappoint. I have no intention of doing anything this weekend other than laying out in the sun and soaking up as many rays as possible. Dear Staff Meetings, you have no idea how annoyed I am that I have to sit through you today. There is nothing that pains me more than having to listen to the snoozefest that you are. There better be muffins. Dear Followers,  YOU ALL ARE AMAZING!! When I logged into Blogger yesterday and saw that I had reached 100 followers I was beyond ecstatic! I was so nervous about starting this blog because I didn't think anyone would want to read the boring things I had to write about, so it feels really great to hit the 100 mark! Keep your eyes out for a giveaway in the near future! Dear Scentsy Warmer, I love you. You make my room smell oh so amazing. It makes me sad to think that I didn't get you sooner. But all that matters is that you're mine and we will live together happily ever after! (I'm so creepy.) Dear Sleep, I need you so badly. I absolutely cannot wait for you to grace me with your presence this weekend. I know we don't get to see that much of each other during the week, but I hope we can make up for that this weekend. Dear Charlie, you're looking really precious sleeping at the end of my bed right now. Even though your special diet cat food is really stinking up my room, you're still the only cat I will ever like.
