Scan That Bad Boy

I'm on Spring Break this week so Justin and I decided to crack down on wedding planning. On the top of our list? Starting our Wedding Registry! So today we headed on over to my first love, Target, to get going.

The moment we were handed the hand scanner, it went downhill. I'm surprised we didn't scan every single thing in the store. Our motto? "Someone's going to want to get us this!" I'm pretty sure today's festivities has been, hands down, my favorite part of wedding planning. Here are some things we added to the list:

Obviously, a KitchenAid Mixer! Justin said it was too expensive for our register to which I gasped and replied, "A KitchenAid Mixer is on the top of EVERY wedding registry!"Am I right ladies, or am I right?

The most adorable Beverage Dispenser with a chalkboard label. This thing is screaming for some Sweet Tea. I need this. Like yesterday...

Oh, just a cookwear set -- because you kinda really do need it. Not so exciting...

Our list told us to register for a digital camera, so we did. I really wanted a DSLR, but Justin told me no one's going to buy us a $500 camera -- sigh. So we settled for this cutie. Perfect for taking with us on our honeymoon.

We registered for all white, porcelain dishware -- clean and classic. We went a little crazy in that aisle, scanning every white porcelain dish we could find.

Some of the things Justin took upon himself to scan....

But only one racquet.

What was your favorite item on your wedding registry?

I feel compelled to warn you that, if that beverage dispenser is anything like the one I'm familiar with, you will have time to vacuum, do a load of laundry, and maybe even make a stop at the restroom before it finishes dispensing your iced tea. The one we have is s-l-o-w!

Kitchenaid Mixer is DEFINITELY at the top of the list.

MEN! ;D

I love that he put Doritos and Mountain Dew on the list. My husband and I love movie nights in, so we put a bunch of movies, popcorn, candy...things like that. Our guests loved it!

I didn't even consider registering for a KitchenAid. When we registered at Target, my husband made the rule that we could only register for things that were absolutely necessary. Because we had nothing and he wanted to make sure people didn't only buy us fun extras when what we really needs were cups and knives and towels. But then some of my family revolted and said that we had to register for a few extras too....so I think I added a vase and some board games to the list! We were super practical. :P

Registering was one of my favorite things about wedding planning! We also registered at Target and we went to one of those registry events at Crate & Barrel and got a gift and complimentary mimosas :)

Hands down my favorite item on the registry was also my kitchen aid! My awesome mom got it for us and I use it all the time. It makes life so much easier than standing there with a hand mixer. You can dump stuff in and walk away.

I should have registered for one of those mixers. Big regret. I registered for an ice cream maker. It has been one of my favorite things! You never know what people will end up getting you so I say go add that DSLR camera. Maybe you will get a ton of gift cards!!

I'll get Justin a bag of Doritos and Mt Dew & drop it in the mail right away! Also, you NEED a Kitchen Aid. Every women needs one. My favorite birthday/Christmas present ever - even if it was from an ex-boyfriend. I still use it daily, and say it was the best thing I got out of that relationship, haha!

my husband did the same thing at target - cookies, crackers, fireworks, footballs. yup.

watch your target registry - we ended up deleting ours because it was so wonky that no one could access more than 1 page of it online and things randomly disappeared. it was a mess for all our guests.

I love that your fiance scanned food/drink items! I feel like thats definitely something my boyfriend would do too! And I agree that the mixer should be at the top of your list!
