Sunday Social

This week's Sunday Social topic is near and dear to my heart. I live for vaca! If I could, I would be hopping from tropical island to tropical island daily. Some of my best memories are from vacations I took with friends and family. So what am I waiting for?!

Best trip you've ever been on?
Okay, I'm cheating because I have three...
1) Playa del Carmen, Mexico
Don't mind my nasty brunette hair. This was my third trip to Mexico, but one of my favorites. Senior Spring Break with my favorite girls! We always talk about going back. Pretty sure it would be 20x better now that we're older (and now that our parents won't be with us...buzz kill.)

2) Germany/Czech Republic/Austria
When I graduated from high school, my aunt and uncle paid for me to come visit them in Germany for two weeks. We took weekend trips to Prague and Salzburg and spent our time touring some amazing places. I miss this trip so much! If you've never been to Europe, go!

3) Guatemala
My Junior year of college, I took a three week trip to Guatemala as part of a class I needed to graduate. I absolutely love Hispanic culture, so I really enjoyed my time in Guate. We spent time in Guatemala City, lived with a Guatemalan family for a week in Antigua, climbed a volcano (which I hated...btw) and really just had a lot of fun. I might love this trip a lot more than I normally would because I met Justin in Guatemala.

Best idea for a girls weekend trip?
Anywhere there is a beach!
You may think Michigan is a whole lot of ugly nothingness, but we have some amazing beaches! My high school girlfriends and I are taking a long weekend trip up to Suttons Bay later in August and I cannot wait to have a relaxing weekend with the girls. Lots of laughing, lots of fun, and of course, lots of wine.

Best idea for a couples trip?
Anywhere tropical
So romantic! Tropical vacations are the best because time literally does not exist. It's just filled with relaxation and quality time, just what's needed for a couples vaca.

Best vacation on the cheap?

Northern Michigan. This picture above is of Lake Michigan after my mom and I climbed the Sleeping Bear Dunes. We spent a weekend at The Homestead Resort (okay, which is not cheap) but there are plenty of cabins on the lake that you can rent. In a couple weeks, my mom, Justin, my brother and I are taking a week trip to Mackinaw City where we'll be staying in a co-workers cabin for free. It's always a plus knowing the right people!

Place you most want to visit?
Bora Bora!
This is my dream honeymoon. Staying in these huts right out in the middle of the ocean...perfection! I also wouldn't mind staying in those HUGE bungalows that the Kardashian's stayed in on their trip to Bora Bora...just saying.

Vacation necessities?
A couple cute bikinis, Hawaiian Tropic suntan lotion, sundresses, a camera, and a good book.

Sunday Social

Join me in linking up with Neely and Ashley for another week of Sunday Social! This weeks theme: TV!

Favorite TV show of the past...
Full House

Hellooooo Uncle Jesse! If you didn't love this show growing up, then you aren't human. I wanted to be part of the Tanner family. Except for when Danny had his overly emotional/awkward heart-to-hearts with his girls. And this show is even better now knowing that Danny Tanner/Bob Saget is really a creeptastic, pervert in real life.

Favorite TV show currently...
Keeping Up With the Kardashians
Real Housewives of Orange County

I love anything and everything reality. The Kardashians and The Real Housewives are my absolute favorite TV shows...hands down. I just can't get enough of the drama!

Which reality show would you NEVER do?
The Bachelor/Bachelorette

I'm actually not even really sure how this show is still going on? Hasn't season after season proven that it doesn't work! Yes, I do love seeing all the cray cray people who end up on these shows, but that's why I would never be on the show...crazies.

Which reality show would you LOVE to do?
Real Housewives...obviously!

Be honest with yourself, would you not love to be ridiculously rich, sip on ridiculously expensive wine, go on amazing vacations, and dress up in designer gowns just to have dinner at a friends?!? I think this is my life calling...

TV personality/ character that you feel is most like you...
Kourtney Kardashian (pre-Mason)

I say pre-Mason because she's kinda gone bitch-mode since she popped out a child. Poor Scott. But I like to say Kourt is my soul sister. Maybe it's just because I want to be her (and I wouldn't mind being blessed with her beauty). We both have the oldest child thing going on. I love my clothes, shoes, handbags, accessories and so does she. The only difference there is she can afford to drop thousands and I, obviously, can't. Kourt is hilarious (in my opinion) and I like to think I can crack a few good jokes every now and then. In reality, we probably aren't that similar at all, but in my fantasy world, I make myself believe we are twins, so there we have it!

TV character you'd want to date...
Shemar Moore from Criminal Minds

He's just nice to look at. No other words needed.

Sunday Social

Time to link up with Neely and Ashley for Sunday Social: Fashion Edition!

What is your favorite store to shop at?
I love a good deal on clothes so I stick to Target, Forever 21, and H&M. TJ Maxx for bags and shoes!
If you could afford anything and everything, which designer brand would you covet?
Hands down, Chanel! I would be the next Rachel Zoe.
{via}
And some Alice + Olivia!

{via}
{via}
Must have closet staple?
Dark skinny jeans, sandals, boots, anything black

Favorite kind of shoes?
BOOTS! I'm addicted!

Best clothing deal you've ever gotten?
I've found a lot of gems at TJ Maxx or Marshall's over the years that I can't really remember. But the most recent deal I've found...a pair of $75 Gap jeans that fit me like a glove for $10.

Style you'd love to try?
My sister and I were just talking about this. ROMPERS! I have an extra long torso, so I don't fit into rompers. I recently found the perfect romper and couldn't get the straps over my shoulder without giving myself a wedgie. And strapless rompers? They don't even cover my chest. I'm a freak of nature!

Sunday Social

Week three of Sunday Social has begun! I'm so glad I found this fun link-up last week. Do yourself a favor and join Neely and Ashley! You won't regret it.

What is your all-time favorite song?
In My Place - Coldplay
I'm addicted to Coldplay. Hands down, the best concert I have ever attended. This song just gets me every time. You know that feeling? When a song just speaks to you? In My Place is that song!

What is your favorite singer/band?
MJ! (RIP)
I know, I know. You're probably thinking really, Jenna?? Yes, really! MJ was the King of Pop! Sure, his personal life was questionable, but be honest with yourself. His music was amazing. Nothing will ever compare!

What is your theme song/song that best describes your life?
Right Above It - Lil Wayne

Okay, so this is a joke. I sat here for twenty minutes and couldn't think of a good theme song for my life. I just love Weezy and I love this song. And if I was legit enough, or had no humility, I would make this my theme song.

What song puts you in a good mood?
Club Can't Handle Me - Flo Rida
{Please tell me you've seen this YouTube video??}

I was going to give you multiple songs, but the honest truth is, this is the number one song that puts me in a good mood. Annoyed that I'm running? Club Can't Handle Me. Bad day at work? Club Can't Handle Me. Who doesn't love this song??

What is your favorite road-trip music?
Anything Country.

What song are you embarassed to admit that you love?
Call Me Maybe - Carly Rae Jepsen

I wouldn't say I looove this song, but I will admit that I listen to it on the radio whenever it comes on. Come on, it's pretty catchy! And pretty annoying at the same time.

And another one of my personal faves for the road in honor of the music theme...

Happy Sunday!

Sunday Social

I can't believe that I missed the first week of this fun link up! Join Neely and Ashley for Social Sunday

Favorite movie of all time?
Hands down, Forrest Gump!
There's just something about this movie that tugs at my heartstrings. I just want to reach through the television and give the man a hug every time I watch this movie. If Forrest was a real person, I would make him my best friend.

Favorite movie quote?
This is a question for Justin. His life is filled with movie quotes and lyrics. I, on the other hand, am not a huge movie quote person. I'll throw the classic "Four for you Glen Coco, you go Glen Coco!" or "She doesn't even go here!" from Mean Girls around every now and then, but that's about as close to my favorite movie quote as it's going to get.

Best movie to watch for a girls night in?
How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days
Who doesn't love to watch this movie with their girlfriends? The perfect RomCom with a fairytale ending. Put in the DVD, pour yourself a glass of wine, and enjoy some girl time!

Best breakup movie?
Is it okay for me to say I don't believe in a best breakup movie? When you break up with someone you always turn to those sappy love stories. Cue P.S. I Love You and a bawling-fest. Does that really make anyone feel better? BUT if I had to choose, I would pick The Holiday.
This movie reminds us that if something goes wrong, it's because there is something better for us out there.

Favorite celeb eye candy?
Ryan Reynolds
Do I really need to explain? That's what I thought...

Which movie star's closet would you want to raid?
Ashley Tisdale
I feel like a teeny bopper saying that, but for real! I love her style. So effortless, comfy, simple, and edgy. I would let her style me every day.
